Setup: Routes, Breeds & Settings

Configure the building blocks of your dairy – collection routes, animal breeds, medicines, product categories, and storage locations.

Overview

Configuration is where managers set up master data used across the entire app. This includes collection routes for milk vans, animal breed lists, medicine catalog, product categories, storage locations, and sample data import.

Most of these are set once during initial setup and updated occasionally.

How It Works

Go to Dairy → Configuration (visible to Dairy Managers only). Available setup items:

Fields Table

Field Explanations

Below is a detailed explanation of each field listed in the table above.

Route Name

Name of the collection route. For example: Route A – North.

Route Code

Short code for the route. For example: RT-A.

Breed Name

Name of the animal breed. For example: Gir.

Animal Type

Cow, Buffalo, Goat, or Sheep for this breed. For example: Cow.

Avg Daily Yield (L)

Typical milk yield for this breed. For example: 12 L.

Medicine Name

Veterinary medicine name. For example: Enrofloxacin.

Default Withdrawal Period

Days milk must be discarded after use. For example: 7 days.

Location Name

Storage area name. For example: Cold Room 1.

Location Type

Cold Room, Chilling Vat, Processing, Dispatch, etc. For example: Cold Room.

Min/Max Temp (°C)

Temperature range for this location. For example: 0°C – 4°C.
