See what products you have in stock, where they are stored, and track every movement in and out of cold rooms.
Overview
Inventory management covers stock summary by product and location, individual stock movements (production in, dispatch out, transfers, adjustments), and storage location management for cold rooms, chilling vats, and dispatch areas.
How It Works
- Go to Dairy → Inventory. Stock Summary shows live quantities per product per location. Stock Movements shows every in/out/transfer/waste transaction.
- Stock In entries are often created automatically when processing batches are completed. Stock Out entries are created for dispatch and sales.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Go to Inventory → Stock Summary to see current stock levels.
- For manual movements, go to Stock Movements → Create.
- Select Move Type: Stock In, Stock Out, Internal Transfer, Wastage, Return, or Adjustment.
- Choose Product, Quantity, Location, and lot/expiry details.
- Click Validate to confirm the movement.

Common Mistakes
- Transfer without destination – Internal transfers require a “To Location”.
- Expiry before manufacturing date – Expiry date cannot be before manufacturing date.
