Configuration Masters

Updated 31 May 2026

Overview

Why it matters: If everyone types free-text “HRA” or “Bank transfer” differently, reports break and salary formulas reference wrong codes. Master lists centralise labels and behaviours so employees, payslips, and analytics all speak one language.

What this covers: Advance HR → Configuration groups setup records: work types, document types, account types (for credentials), payment types, the earnings/deductions catalog, plus links to payroll groups, OT, holidays, payslip types, and earnings/deductions groups. Admins maintain these; end users only pick from dropdowns.

Invest time here once at go-live or when policy changes—then day-to-day payroll stays faster and cleaner.
