Abilities library

Created 29 April 2026

Abilities are a shared list your whole team uses. Create abilities once, then attach them to Pokemon in the Pokemon form.

1) Overview

Go to Configuration → Abilities to create and maintain abilities. Abilities can then be selected on each Pokemon under Abilities & Moves.

2) How it works

Shared definitions

Abilities are not created inside each Pokemon. They come from one master list, which keeps your data consistent.

Why it matters: Everyone uses the same spelling and meaning for abilities.

Assigning to Pokemon

On a Pokemon record, you can add one or many abilities as tags. This is fast and keeps the form clean.

Tip: keep ability names short; put the details in Description

3) Step-by-step guide

Best practice: Agree on one description style (1–2 sentences) so the list stays easy to scan.

4) Fields table

5) Field name explanation

Ability Name

This is what users search for and select on Pokemon. Keep it consistent and easy to recognize.

Example: Use “Levitate”, not “Levitation”, to match your chosen standard.

Description

This is where you explain the “meaning” of the ability for your organization.

Example: Add when to use it, or what it implies for battles/events.
