Boarding Stays

Updated 16 June 2026

Check-in/out pets, assign kennels, manage duration and costs, and log care notes.

Overview

Boarding Stays manage overnight or multi‑day care with clear check‑in/out times, assigned kennels, daily rates, and incident logging. Duration and total cost are calculated automatically, while feeding notes and walk schedules ensure consistent care across shifts.

Status changes—Draft, Confirmed, Checked In, Checked Out—make it obvious where each pet is in their stay and help staff coordinate capacity and billing.

  • Capacity control: Kennel assignments avoid double‑booking.
  • Transparent costs: Daily rates plus extras produce accurate totals.
  • Care continuity: Notes and schedules keep every shift aligned.

How It Works

  • Assign a kennel with the right size and availability.
  • Track status: Draft → Confirmed → Checked In → Checked Out (or Cancelled).
  • Enter feeding notes, walk schedule, and incident logs.

Step-by-Step Guide

  • Go to Pets › Services › Boarding Stays.
  • Click New, select pet, appointment (optional), kennel, and times.
  • Confirm then Check In when the pet arrives.
  • Add care notes and extra costs if any.
  • Check Out and review total cost and payment status.
