Overview
Sometimes quick notes or dietary tags do not appear in the cart even though the module is installed. In most cases, the reason is a simple setup mismatch such as inactive status, wrong category mapping, or incorrect template type.
This troubleshooting chapter gives a practical check order so new users can fix issues quickly without technical debugging. Following this process helps restore normal behavior and reduces support delays during live operations.
How It Works
The cart loads active templates and then filters them by product category. If a template is archived, or assigned to the wrong category, it may not be shown for the item the customer selected.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open Point of Sale > Note Templates.
- Check that the missing template is Active.
- Verify Product Categories includes the correct product category.
- Check whether template type is correct (Quick Chip or Dietary Tag).
- Refresh the self-order cart and test with the target product again.

Tips
- Keep one test product in each category for quick verification.
- After edits, always retest in self-order cart, not just in backend.
- Document common fixes in your internal operations notes.
Common Mistakes
- Testing on a product from the wrong category.
- Assuming a saved template is active without checking toggle status.
- Using very similar names and checking the wrong template record.
