Choose which extra invoice, payment, and bank fields your company sees – so screens stay simple until you need them.
First time with the module? If you have not yet installed Accounting Pro on your server (ZIP, restart, Apps list, Activate), start with Set up Accounting Pro (install), then come bac k to this page. Dropdowns empty? Create master lists under Company lists & master data.
Overview
Accounting Pro adds optional areas to Odoo: extra detail on invoice lines, an Other info area on invoices and bills, more fields on payments, and richer partner bank cards. Nothing appears until an administrator enables the matching switches in Settings → General Settings, under the Accounting Pro app block.
How it works
Each switch turns on a small set of related fields for users who have the right access in Odoo. Your IT partner maps those access groups to your finance, treasury, or operations roles. If a switch is off, the data still stored in the database from earlier use may remain, but the fields stay hidden on the form.
Step-by-step guide
- Open Settings (gear icon) and activate Developer Mode only if your consultant asks – it is not required for normal toggles.
- Go to General Settings and scroll to the Accounting Pro section.
- Under Invoice Lines, turn on the blocks your team needs (for example Storage & traceability if you ship regulated goods).
- Under Invoice Other Info, enable customer communication, risk, and/or logistics blocks.
- Under Payments, enable settlement, risk, fees, treasury, compliance, vendor experience, customer payments, or automation hooks as required.
- Under Bank Accounts, enable classification, compliance, risk, regulatory, and routing blocks for contact bank cards.
- Click Save at the top of Settings.
- Optional: click Load Accounting Pro Demo Data once to create sample bank accounts, refresh example invoices with risk levels, and add demo payments so the Pro Dashboard shows numbers during training.

Load Accounting Pro Demo Data (button under the same Accounting Pro settings block, not a table row) creates or refreshes sample invoices, payments, and bank records so dashboards look populated in training. Safe to run multiple times on a test database; confirm with your manager before using it on production.
Tip: Turn on one block at a time, run a pilot with two users, then widen access. That avoids “empty” fields overwhelming new staff.
Common mistake: Forgetting to click Save in General Settings after toggling – users will not see new fields until the settings page is saved.
