User Roles & Country Pricing

Updated 11 July 2026

This plugin lets you show different prices to different groups of customers – based on who they are (User Role) or where they are (Country). This chapter explains how both systems work.

User Role Pricing

WordPress assigns every registered customer a role. Common roles include Customer, Shop Manager, Subscriber, or custom roles like “Wholesale Buyer” created by role-management plugins. This plugin lets you tie pricing rules to specific roles.

How It Works

When you add a pricing row on a product (or in a global rule), there is a User Role field. You can:

Real Example: Retail vs Wholesale

Visitors (not logged in): If a visitor is not logged in, they will see the pricing rules where User Role is blank. Logged-in customers see both the general rules AND any rules that match their specific role – the plugin shows the best matching rule.

Country-Based Pricing

You can also show different prices to customers in different countries. The plugin detects the customer’s country from their billing address or shipping address in WooCommerce.

How It Works

When adding a pricing row, there is a Countries field. You can:

Real Example: Regional Pricing

Country pricing only works correctly when your WooCommerce store is set up with multiple currency support (e.g. using a currency switcher plugin). The plugin handles the pricing rule – currency display is handled by WooCommerce or a currency plugin.
