Welcome! This guide will walk you through every step needed to download, install, and activate the Woo Products Quantity Range Pricing plugin on your WordPress website. Even if you have never installed a plugin before, you can follow these steps easily – they are written in plain, simple language just for you.
Required Plugin – WooCommerce
Before you install Woo Products Quantity Range Pricing, you must first have WooCommerce installed and active on your WordPress site. This plugin will not work without WooCommerce.
WooCommerce is the world’s most popular free eCommerce plugin for WordPress. It turns your website into an online store. The Quantity Range Pricing plugin extends WooCommerce by adding bulk/tier pricing on top of it.
Without WooCommerce, the Quantity Range Pricing plugin cannot run. If you try to activate it without WooCommerce, you will see an error message and the plugin will be automatically deactivated.
How to Install WooCommerce First
- Go to Plugins → Add New in your WordPress admin In the left sidebar, click Plugins then click Add New.
- Search for “WooCommerce” In the search box at the top right, type WooCommerce. The official plugin by Automattic will appear as the first result.
- Click “Install Now” then “Activate” Click the “Install Now” button, wait for it to finish, then click “Activate”. Follow the WooCommerce setup wizard to configure your store basics.
Already have WooCommerce?
If WooCommerce is already installed and active on your site, you are ready to proceed. Skip ahead to Step 1 below.

Download from your purchase/account page |
Step 1 – Download the Latest Copy of the Plugin
The very first thing you need to do is get the plugin file onto your computer. Think of this like downloading a document – you will save a ZIP file to your desktop or downloads folder.
Go to the plugin source
Visit the official website or marketplace where you purchased or downloaded the plugin. Log in to your account if required.
Find the Download button
Look for a button labelled “Download” or “Get Latest Version”. Always download the newest version available to ensure you have the latest features and bug fixes.
Save the ZIP file to your computer
Your browser will download a file named something like Woo-Products-Quantity-Range-Pricing.zip. Save it somewhere easy to find, such as your Desktop or Downloads folder. Do not extract or unzip this file – WordPress needs it as a ZIP.
Step 2 – Upload the Plugin to Your Website
Now you need to send that ZIP file from your computer to your WordPress website. You will do this directly from inside your WordPress admin – no extra software needed.
Log in to your WordPress Admin
Open your web browser and go to your website address followed by /wp-admin – for example: www.yourstore.com/wp-admin. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
Go to Plugins → Add New
In the left-hand menu on the WordPress dashboard, look for Plugins. Click on it, then click Add New from the sub-menu that appears.
Click "Upload Plugin"
Near the top of the page you will see a button labelled “Upload Plugin”. Click it – a file chooser area will appear below the button.
Choose your ZIP file
Click “Choose File” and navigate to wherever you saved the plugin ZIP file (Desktop or Downloads folder). Select the file Woo-Products-Quantity-Range-Pricing.zip and click Open.
Click "Install Now"
After selecting your file, click the “Install Now” button. WordPress will upload and install the plugin. You will see a progress screen – wait until it says “Plugin installed successfully.”
Step 3 – Activate the Plugin
Installing a plugin is not enough – you also need to activate it. Think of it like installing an app on your phone and then opening it for the first time.
After installation – click "Activate Plugin"
If you just finished Method A above, you will see an “Activate Plugin” link on the success screen. Click it right away.
OR – go to Plugins → Installed Plugins
If you missed the link on the success screen, go to Plugins → Installed Plugins in the WordPress menu. Scroll down until you find “Woo Products Quantity Range Pricing”. Click the “Activate” link below its name.
Confirm it is active
Once activated, the plugin row will be highlighted and you will see a notice that it is now active. There is no need to restart your website – WordPress activates it instantly.
WordPress does not need a restart. Unlike some other software, WordPress activates plugins instantly. Your website stays live and working the whole time.
Step 4 – No Special Mode Needed
Unlike some other platforms, WordPress does not require you to turn on a “Development Mode” or “Debug Mode” to use plugins. The plugin works immediately after activation for regular use.
Good to know: WordPress Debug Mode is only for developers who want to see technical error messages. As a regular store owner, you do not need it. Skip this step entirely.
Step 5 – Find the Plugin in Your Admin Menu
After activation, the plugin adds its own menu to your WordPress admin panel – right alongside the WooCommerce menu. You do not need to search for it or update any list – it appears automatically.
Where to look: In the WordPress admin sidebar, scroll down to the WooCommerce section. You will find “Quantity Range Pricing” listed right next to WooCommerce – since this plugin extends WooCommerce, its menu is placed alongside it for easy access.
Look at the left admin sidebar
In your WordPress dashboard, scroll down the dark menu bar on the left side. Look for the WooCommerce section. Just below or next to it, you will see a new menu item: “Quantity Range Pricing”.
Click on "Quantity Range Pricing"
Click the menu item to open the plugin’s main control panel. From here you can access Settings, Category Rules, Tag Rules, and Import/Export.
Step 6 – Enable the Plugin & First-Time Setup
The plugin is installed, but it is switched off by default. You need to turn it on before any pricing rules will appear on your store. This is like plugging in a new appliance – it needs to be switched on to work.
Open the Settings page
Click Quantity Range Pricing → Settings in the admin sidebar. This opens the main configuration page for the plugin.
Turn on "Enable Quantity Range Pricing"
At the very top of the settings page, you will see a toggle switch labelled “Enable Quantity Range Pricing facility?”. Click the toggle to turn it ON (it will turn green or highlighted).
Click "Save Changes"
Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click the “Save Changes” button. This saves your choice and activates the plugin’s features across your store.
Default settings are applied automatically
The plugin sets sensible default values for you (like displaying a table, left text alignment, standard border). You can change all of these later. For now, the defaults are good to get started.
Important: If you skip this step and don’t click Save Changes, the plugin will appear to do nothing. Always save after making changes.
Step 7 – Default Configuration is Ready
When the plugin first activates, it sets up with a standard default configuration. This means your store is already prepared to use quantity pricing – you just need to add your pricing rules to individual products.
Here is what the plugin comes with by default:
| Setting | Default Value | What it Means |
|---|---|---|
Display Style |
Table |
Pricing is shown as a standard table on the product page. |
Text Alignment |
Left |
Text inside the table is aligned to the left. |
Archive Loop |
Off |
Pricing table is NOT shown on shop listing pages by default. |
Quantity Box |
Visible |
The standard WooCommerce quantity input box is still shown. |
User Roles |
All Users |
Pricing applies to all customers, including visitors. |
Countries |
All Countries |
Pricing applies to all countries by default. |
All default settings can be changed at any time in the Global Settings page. See Global Settings for a full guide.
Step 8 – Check User Access & Permissions
On most WordPress stores, the Administrator role can see and use all plugin features by default. However, if you have other team members (like a Shop Manager or Editor) who also need to manage pricing, you should check that they have the correct access.
Go to Users in the WordPress admin
In the left menu, click Users → All Users to see everyone who has an account on your site.
Check each team member's role
Each user has a Role column. The role determines what they can do. The recommended roles for managing this plugin are:
- Administrator – Full access to all settings and pricing rules.
- Shop Manager – Can manage WooCommerce products and pricing (WooCommerce’s own role).
- Editor / Author / Subscriber – These roles cannot manage pricing by default.
Change a user's role if needed
Click on a user’s name to edit their profile. Scroll down to find the Role dropdown. Change it to Shop Manager or Administrator if they need access to pricing, then click Update User.
Be careful with Administrator access. Administrator role gives full control over your entire website. Only give it to people you fully trust. For most store helpers, Shop Manager is the better choice.
Step 9 – Refresh & Verify Everything Works
The last step is to refresh your browser and confirm that the plugin is active and the menu is visible. This is a quick final check to make sure everything is set up correctly before you start creating pricing rules.
Refresh the page
Press F5 on your keyboard (or Ctrl+R on Windows / Cmd+R on Mac) to refresh the WordPress admin page. This ensures the latest state of all plugins is loaded.
Check the admin sidebar
Look at the left menu. You should clearly see the “Quantity Range Pricing” menu item. If it is visible, the plugin is working correctly.
Open a product and verify the tab
Go toProducts → All Products and click Edit on any product. Scroll down to the Product Data panel. You should see a new tab called “Quantity Range Pricing”. If you can see it, the plugin is fully installed and ready.
Visit your store's front end
Open your store in a new browser tab and visit any product page. After you add pricing rules (see Price Types Explained), a pricing table will appear here automatically for your customers.
Congratulations! Your plugin is fully installed and ready. You can now move on to setting up your first pricing rules. Continue to Product Pricing Setup.
Helpful Tips
- Always download the latest version of the plugin for the best features and security fixes.
- Keep the ZIP file unextracted when uploading – WordPress will extract it automatically during installation.
- After activation, always click Save Changes on the settings page before adding pricing to products.
- If you cannot see the Quantity Range Pricing tab on a product, make sure you have turned ON the master enable toggle in Settings.
- Give team members the Shop Manager role – it is safer than Administrator and still allows full WooCommerce access.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Unzipping the file before uploading via the WordPress dashboard. You must upload the original ZIP file – WordPress will extract it for you automatically.
- Not saving settings after enabling the plugin. The plugin will appear to do nothing if you turn on the toggle but forget to click Save Changes.
- Installing the plugin without WooCommerce. This plugin requires WooCommerce to be installed and active first. If WooCommerce is missing, you will see a warning message.
- Expecting the pricing table to appear without adding pricing rules. The tab will appear on products, but no pricing table shows until you actually create pricing rows on each product.
